POY
POY is an intermediate polyester filament yarn produced by high-speed melt spinning of PET chips, cooled and wound without drawing. It has low orientation, high elongation (>120%), low strength (<2.5g/denier), and unstable crystallinity. POY cannot be used directly but is essential feedstock for manufacturing textured yarn (DTY) or fully drawn yarn (FDY). Key traits include undrawn structure, flexibility in downstream processing, and high denier variations. Recycled PET POY supports eco-initiatives.
